when i tested thoses dynes they didnt fall over till plus 28 dbm .. and even then it was slow

I can believe it - 20dbm = 20dbu at 600ohms, at 10K impedance (what I'll be running) its over 32dbu. Forgetting the numbers, there is there's no way you going to fry these without frying something else down the line first, and you'll get 3db flat all the way there.

Most items spoken for. Whats left are the odd bins that may be destined for lesser things, but who knows??

1 x Can transformer marked 7051 - opened it up, and inside is a transformer marked 7051! 5 wires so I assume it is a simple primary with CT and secondary.

2 x Belclere TF10016, shield a bit bashed but they are still Neve's input iron.

1 x square tin, marked 4042 165 01. About 25mm square, 30mm deep, looks to be hand encapsulated with some neat metalwork. 7 wires, so this looks like a 1+1 to something input transformer with a grounding wire.

1 x Astor 4042 131 01 - this I know from some pieces in my garage is an input trannie as used in an Astor (RCA designed) B2 distribution amp and there is a matching 4042 149 01 output transformer to go with it. Stick a dual opamp gain stage in the middle and you got yourself a tranny balanced preamp.

1 x TMC B463/3 green case, looks like the Astor except its 6 wires.

Yes, before anyone (else) PMs to say how to test the ratio of a transformer, I could do that, but where's the fun and mystery? That 16501 may turn out to be the world's best DI transformer but my testing it out as being 1:4 won't tell you that - you need to wire it up and see.

So we are into lucky dip time - the known ones are (mostly) gone, although I'm waiting on confirmation for a couple of things (I will repost them above if they become available

Barney has a Sowter, Alistair has some Dynes, SeaCook has LOTS of Dynes, Sammas some Belcleres and Lundhals, Junction a couple of Harbuch's, Hookmeister just collect some Lundhals and Billingtons, and Richard Astin some Belcleres and Dynes. Plus me, of course, getting Dynes, Belceleres, a Jensen and some Lundhals.

So the goodies got shared around 8 members over 3 states, all with some great sounding projects. Its also been amazing to meet some of you guys face to face for a change. The music industry has some really interesting and genuinely nice people in it, despite its reputation.

A final huge thanks to Rick O'Neill for deciding it was easier to give these away to people who want them than to score the old dollar off ebay. He's always dismissive of his own generosity, but I am truly grateful.

Here here. I picked up my load last weekend and they are looking great and I really appreciate the work that went in to packing them, and Rick's generosity.
