yeah, i would'a happily grabbed another atm25.

also would like to try the sennheiser 609 - some like it as a guitar cab mic. i'm guessing you didn't?
you can tell the truth, now that they're sold.

I LURVE my 609!!! I used it just this weekend on James Muller's Riviera combo at a James Morrison gig.... flippin fantastic... although - it was a pretty good tone to play with for starters. I'm sure any mic would have sounded ok in front of that amp!

The e609 is a great guitar cab mic - I know quite a few guitarists that love these mics as well..

ok ok ok. so compare it to an MD421. compare it to an sm57. do you just drap it in front of the speaker?

damn shame i didn't spot this till it was too late . . .

Funny you should say that about the 421, I have 3 of them and goto them all the time micing cabs. I don't record drums anymore, let others do that, that's why I've let these mics go. Some guy bought the lot, just to make you feel good I sold the 2 xAMT25 $120 ea, 409 $100 and the Beta 56 $100. He got a hot deal.
