I have an FMR RNLA Really Nice Levelling Amp here for sale... purchased brand new a few months ago, used for one mix project - loved it, works great, just surplus to needs right now. (Photos are from phone, unit looks as-new).

Includes local power supply and manual. RRP is around $400. *price drop to $200*

What does it sound like? Or what sort of flavour of compressor is it eg VCA, Opto, FET. What sort of things does it excel on? Sometimes I like to use compressors more as eq's for flavouring the sound.
Cheers

Well it's a little bit gearslutz to try and describe the sound of a compressor... but it sounds like a VCA compressor with perhaps a little more attitude, and a very slightly forward mid range that makes it pretty damn good on guitars, but really also very good on drum groups too. like an SSL but a shade less transparent. works well if you slam it hard and blend to taste (in which case it probably sounds more like an 1178, i don't know why).

but then ignore all that because it might sound totally different to you.

i've used the RNC and the RNLA is just as good. i have too many stereo VCA-style compressors, no mix work right now, and bills to pay. i'll pick up another one next time i need one, they are a no-brainer for the price.

Hi Wez,
was it somewhere in the north you were located??
I'll grab it if you're still not too far away.
