For Sale Adam A7's

Hi, at PBSFM we have a pair of ADAM A7 (NOT A7x) monitors for sale.
Not sure what a good price would be, can't find any second hand ones for sale anywhere. I guess that means that people like them and don't let them go often.
Offers?
They can be picked up in Collingwood, Melbourne.

What are you replacing them with?

Ns 10's will replace the ADAMs.
We have KRK V6 Series II's in Studio 5 as well, not sure they were there last time you were in Myles. Personally, I am much more comfortable mixing on these than the ADAMs.
As with budgets being tiny, and new studios being built at PBS, some reshuffling of gear was necessary.
It probably wont be a popular decision amongst our engineers to ditch the ADAMs, but not being able to properly equip new studios would be much worse than a few grumbles.
The NS 10's were in one of the Production suites, they are much better suited to a recording studio control room like Studio 5.
Cheers,
Paul

I think I'm not really going to be that precious with technogabbledegook stuff as much when I get back. I'm mixing and mastering our work here at lusweti on M-Audio BX5 and it sounds pretty decent. Would I like some B&W Nautilus speakers or some Duntechs? yep but I doubt they would be much other than a little candy for me. If you can't make music with what you have available then you probably shouldn't bother making much music anyway...

Hi Myles, I totally agree with you.
I have heard some of what you are doing in Swaziland, and it sounds great. I am not sure what your kit is, but I am sure it's minimal and pragmatic. Not much is needed if there is talent, passion and skill. Obviously there's plenty of that where you are, at both ends of the mic cables.
Cheers,
Paul

Thanks Paul!

It is amazing what you can do when you know that what you have is all you can have. I know I spent a lot of time when I was younger wanting this or that piece of gear but here you can see just what a luxury that is and a big distraction too...

Bump.
There's lot's of stuff for sale here at the moment, phew.
We really need to move these, how is $800 for the pair? Too much? Too cheap?
Cheers,
Paul
