My garage is bulging so time to look at moving things I'm not using enough or at all.I'll add to the list as I go and find things. Starting off with a Soundtracks Megas Studio console. 28x16x2 .20 mono mic channels,8 x stereo line.16 x tape return. Midi muting & scene setup. Bantam patchbay built in with edacs to the outside world ,cables included. Mic I/p on xlr.Split console ,not inline. "British Sound" see reviews at http://www.studiosystems.co.uk .
Someone must want a mid size console that is all analog.

$2k would be nice, but I'm open to offers.

As an ideal mate to this, how about an Otari MX70 -16 track 1" tape deck. With remote, autolocator,cables etc and as a bonus a second machine for spares. And a 1/2 " head block for 8 track. $1200 the lot

Everything has manuals & schematics and some spares.

Like Rick, I've just got too much stuff I don't use.
If your looking for something,ask. I may have one ready to find a new home.

I'm very interested in your Otari tape machine - I've been waiting for one to pop up for a few years now. Word is 1 inch tape is pretty hard to find these days - do you have any tape stock you can throw in? Also what shape are the heads in?

Heads are pretty good and there is a spare set on the second machine + the 1/2 " headblock
Tape wise, you can get 1" from Cassette and tape sales in Melbourne http://www.casstape.com.au
BASF SM468 is $100 a roll, RMGI SM911 $200, GP9, 499 and SM900 all $194

Machine was last calibrated for 456.
I'd better fire it up. It's a while since it last had a run , hence why I'm moving them.
It does have a new custom made pinch roller.
I'll get some pics.

Mark - I can chime in here and say no transformers on the front end of the Megas. Same 4x ended transistor pre as the Jade & Quartz series. Very neutral sounding, no colour here!

This thing is pretty much the same as the Quartz from what I gather apart from the Megas is a split style console & Quartz in line.

First 20 channels are Mono, 4 transistor Active input (no Transformers), next 8 are Stereo. The Yellow faders are the Stereo Masters. The 16 Red ones are the Group Masters (Split Format not inline) To the right , TT patchbay to all channels for inserts etc plus 48 tie lines to external gear.
Multiple Monitors, Inbuilt oscillator , 2 track returns , Midi scene memory and muting.
Can do M-S decoding at the flick of a switch, has 4 band EQ , Classic British style.
They sound pretty good. easy to service, uses real components not surface mount.
And it has an original Soundtracs cover as well.

Main Deck has had Transport ballistics recalibrated as per manual and setup for 15ips IEC 320nW playback
Last Biased for ampex 456 so it will need to be redone for whatever new tape formulation you choose to record on.

Otaris are going to a new home down south.

Akai S900 sampler in very good condition, never gigged,studio use only. All appears to work correctly, not sure about floppy drive as I have no 720k 3.5" disks to test it with , but it does wake up and register the heads on boot.
