FS: RME Fireface 400

I've had this unit for a very long time (since 2007) and it's been so thoroughly rock solid for me, I'm convinced RME will be the one brand that withstands a nuclear apocalypse. Still works and sounds great, and was actively used in a touring rig up until late 2014.

It is cosmetically a bit beaten up, as you can imagine for an interface this old... the rotary encoder on the front is a bit jumpy too - it will jump to random values occasionally, especially when turning it forcefully (which I sometimes do)... so it's annoying when using the knob to control the headphone output level, because it can jump up 20 or 30db randomly... But when controlling parameters through TotalMix it's perfectly fine. I've asked RME about it and it's fixable, but only by sending the unit to RME to have the part replaced - it's not user serviceable.

It's a proper workhorse - stable, big feature set, has never really failed at all, apart from the jumpy encoder. RME's drivers are super low latency and stable, and despite its age it's a perfectly functional ADAT device, and works well feeding better/more modern converters whilst allowing you to use the rock solid low latency RME drivers.

Power supply & I'll throw in a firewire cable - name which type you want (800-800, 800-400 or 400-400)...

Looking for $250.
