So after having items on back-order for two months to complete my La2a clones, Mouser finally sends it all through.
and guess what?
after i told them explicitly that i wanted to have it all as one package (i didn't want to pay two lots of fed-ex shipping charges) they sent two packages on the same day (shipping = $38 USD each)
looks like they'll accept their error and reimbursh me the shipping fee for one of them, though. just as well!
anyone else had trouble with Mouser?
chris.

yeah - the only reason i ordered through them was there was an existing bill of materials for mouser, and i couldn't be bothered recreating it for RS Components.
next time, i will. RS have always been great.

I know everyone can have an off day, but my one dealing with WES they tried to overcharge my 10x for a capacitor, wouldn't give me trade price despite quoting my ABN (I wasn't their sort of trade, apparently), and "next day delivery" wasn't.
Others on this forum haven't had my experience, so I've written it off as an aberation, but still I wouldn't put WES in the same category as other DIY sources.
MDFU, my one dealing with Mouser was painfree but hardly demanding. I bought a couple of those sideways amp meters used in the Gyraf SSL comp clone. Shipping etc was just fine. Like my WES experience, luck of the draw I suppose.
