Capacitor Working Voltage rating VS Voltage rating?

Hi, I want to replace the power supply caps in an old 70's yamaha amp. They are marked as 80WV. So this is 80V working voltage I assume. I can't seem to find any modern caps with that marking, only voltage (V). Anyone know how WV correlates to V? Would I be looking for something slightly higher say 100V or is 80V the same thing as 80WV?

these days working voltage is a term not used in specifying electrolytic caps. If your old ones were 80WV then it would be a safe bet that 80V in a modern cap would do it. But 80V isn't a standard cap voltage rating. In practice you'll be choosing between 63V and 100V. Now is the time to get the multimeter out and measure what the actual voltage across the caps really is. Add a 10% to 20% safety margin and chose your cap.
