Good point, but I think our interweb speeds are almost faster enough, our memory large enough and compact enough that now that we can enjoy higher qualities of listening pleasure in our crappy ear bud headphones. I loved that certain types of rock were preferred at mp3. :( Sound shaping for a whole genre. And spurts of high freq noise (sizzle) helping their listening enjoyment. Very distressing.
I'm going to start recording the hardcore/metal bands I get through the studio straight into my 128 converter to mp3. Crunch!
