Hey TurtleRockers,
As you can see, I'm a new member on these forums but I'm also a long time lurker. For those who haven't seen it yet, I though I would let you all know about my blog -
http://www.soundrelated.comCurrently the blog covers my audio expedition through Nepal and India earlier this year, as part of the GE-OS crew with Greg Simmons. Each entry has a bit of a write up about the recordings I made and of course includes the recordings themselves, for you listening pleasure.
Check it out and let me know what you think!

Hey All,
I’ve just posted the next entry in my blog. This time I'm covering my time in the Jungle village of Sauraha.
http://soundrelated.com/elephants-and-t ... ino-oh-my/Elephant football and beauty pageants, canoe rides and jungle treks, wild rhinos and getting stoned off a milkshake is all to be had here. There is also a recording I made at the elephant breeding centre, it's a little disturbing.
Enjoy!

Hey All,
Just published my latest blog entry on Sound Related.
http://soundrelated.com/the-tharu-pumpkin-man/This is a recording I made on my last day in Sauraha, Nepal. It features one of the local Tharu villagers singing and playing an odd stringed instrument made from a pumpkin! Very cool.
Enjoy!

This is awesome mate! I'm studying music at Wollongong Uni and my favourite subject is Music for Non-Western instruments, I am very quickly developing a passion for the (like you mention in the blog) honesty of music like this. It's never forced or contrived or for any other reason other than the enjoyment of music. I'll be following the blog with interest, all the best!
P.s. Is it ok if I pass your blog onto my lectures? I'm sure they would appreciate it! Also, if you ever find yourself in wollongong, you should drop on by to the Uni and speak at one of our lectures, would be great to have some first hand knowledge! Flick me a line here or P.M. me and I will give you my email and I can hook it up if you're interested.

Hey Everybody,
It's been a while between posts but finally here is the latest instalment of my blog.
http://soundrelated.com/the-rajasthan-desert-session-2/Here you'll find me in the deserts of Rajasthan, India, recording some amazing Manganiyar musicians. As always the recordings are included (three this time) and there are some amazing photos to go with it.
This was one of the best days of my life so hopefully I've captured some of the joy I experienced and can now share it with you.
Enjoy!
