Hi,
First of all this may not be right place to be asking about this keyboard...please redirect me if I have got it wrong
Just picked up a KR-100 Roland keyboard in Brisbane real cheap.
I have downloaded a manual but cant find a lot of info about this midi LA synth keyboard...like approx manufacture date?
I will probably be selling it but need to get some more info to correctly describe it.
Seen one for sale in Asia for $275 USD, one for sale in USA for $475 USD but apart from that cant find any completed sales on ebay.
Cant find any youtube videos except one without sound????
I am actually a guitarist but I got to say the tones and functions of this keyboard are great.
Hope someone can let me know a little more of the history of this keyboard and whether or not it holds favor with KB players.
It appears to be a "road" version...not a timber home style one.
Hope someone can enlighten me.
Cheers,
Noel

PS. Read the manual that I downloaded and found it is dated 1990 and it also says that the KR-100 uses the same LA synthesis (LA sound) as their professional D series keyboards so this would date the KR-100 from around 1988 to 1990 I suspect.
Also found a label underneath the keyboard ...no date but Made in Italy!!!!!

I consider myself to know of quite a lot of Roland synths and have never heard of it. My guess is it's quite rare but still not worth much, just a forgotten digital relic from the past.

Made in Italy, well thats weird for Roland, but fits with it being quite rare - Italian synths aren't all that commonplace.

Never seen one either, must be a bit of badge engineering from Seil, I thought that only ARP and Sequential did that.

http://www.soundonsound.com/sos/jan05/a ... roland.htm

suggests 1990 as the date of the KR100.
