The autotune effect
In order to get "that" effect that is so prevelant in today's pop music, does one track the vocal with the effect and send it through the cans so the singer can "work"it? Or do you just get as good a vocal take as you can and apply in mixdown?
I'm not really talking about trying to fix someone with bad pitch, I just want to know how to get "that" sound. Think Glee. The lead girl is an awesome singer on her own, but there is a little something extra in that mix.
Finally, what is being used: Antares plugins, Melodyne or maybe TC Helicons?
