AV receivers

Looking at getting one for under $350 for my lounge room to connect my TV, PS3, turntable, hifi speakers & external CD player to it to run off the whole thing so a couple of HDMI ports are needed. Not worried about surround sound inputs but does need to have a decent amp (8 ohm impedance) to run my 2X 1970's Goodman speakers off it. They're not the best sounding speakers but anything will sound better than the crap speakers that are inbuilt to TV's these days!
Any opinions or recommendations would be grand
