I have a Ta@#$% ATR-60 8-track that needs a service - wondering who may do this in Sydney or southwards of Sydney?

I have an ATR-80 that might need a service in the coming months too. Any info would be awesome...

Really? no-one putting their hand up about servicing a tape machine or recommending someone?

There is/was a guy in Melb., who knew these machines "inside out".......his name is something like Zoran/Zoltan, etc., and he apparently worked at Ta@#$% years ago.

If you have the manual, most necessary info is there. I seviced my ATR-60 16 trk when I first purchased it from a local radio station.

the Service manual is a $40 .pdf nowadays.... but perhaps it's the only option.....

Melb is 1,000km from me, and this thing is big and heavy ....

This unit was sold/serviced by a co. called Studio Solutions that appears to be gone now ....

Howard Jones who was Studio Solutions now works for Logitek Australia (broadcast consoles, not computer accessories). If you give him a call he may still do Ta@#$%'s on the side
