I thought I'd have one for sale, but a deal fell through for me on a pair of them, so I'm keeping my one for now.
Sorry mate.. I heard/read somewehre??? Awave is doing them at a very good price. Not sure how correct the info is.

No worries mate. Awave is still a little pricey. They have the EL8-X for $1949 which is above the RRP ($1899).

I'm willing to pay probably a little more than they're worth on the used market but not as much as they're going for new.

I never liked this system either...and there are a couple around who do it.
It seems like "scare tactics" to me. Scare them off with the high prices, so they're not even willing to call LOL.

Yup $1600 is right. Picked up a pair for around $3200 recently. However was sold to me as a stereo pair but 1 is at least 5db lower on input or output than the other...
They'll be going back and replaced with an actual pair I can only hope. Can't do proper stereo bussing without second guessing with them like this!

Well, that's a bargain, if you ask me.
The thing I really like about them (Louis, is it?) that you can go in and try anything they have in stock. I spent a whole morning once, trying different mics.
Still think they might get a few more customers in, if they advertised prices actually reflected their willingness to do a good deal.
