Anyone got a real Neve 1073 or 1081 for sale.

Go thru the "group buy in" nIC - they are offering 1073, 1081 and 1084 clones that 'apparently' are the real deal..

Thanks Tim, but want to get a real neve, if not I'll get the closest which is a BAE 1073.

Follow the links to Prodigy - there is a major couple of threads happening about the buy in right now.
Ausrock and harry originally started the thread here @ TR but I hunted around and had a look myself. Quite a few people are involved here @ TR already as well..
Might be worth it, might not be too.. As Kris said, there's always Ebay to offload stuff..

That's a fair call nIC - but a clone Neve 1073 for 5% of the original BAE cost - gotta be worth a look... ;-)

Hi nIC,

I'm sure you know about Aurora Audio !

In a couple of shoot outs it has beat the BAE.

A jap magazine also did a shoot out(can't find it right now) of all the clones and the Aurora won there too.

Hey Nic, I've been scoping out 1073's for a while now. I have the Shep SN8, the pre sounds identical to a 1073 but the eq doesn't do the 12K chorusey thing that the originals do. I've pretty much come to the conclusion I'll have to buy from OS and have a broker in the US keeping an eye out for a pair. I will most likely end up buying the Neve reissue but will need a listen to the eq first. Good luck finding something decent locally. Figers crossed for ya.

I ordered a BAE 1073, it's about half the price of a AMS 1073, same guts. Should be getting it in about 2 weeks.
