Come across any high-end, creative web designs?

Postby vanderlae » Tue May 12, 2009 5:43 pm

Hi guys,

Has anyone seen a website recently and thought "holy crap, that looks damn tasty"?

I'll be doing some shopping around very shortly for a creative company who can develop an exceptionally clever and creative website...the kind of site that is appealing to look at because of the (perhaps) quirky graphics/images used as much as the prestige conveyed.

Anyway, I don't usually get excited about websites but if you do and you've seen some really good ones in the advertising/creative/arts world please let me know!

cheers

There's a company in the US called Bludomain (.com). They make websites primarily for photographers, but the designs can be used for other purposes. They have pages designed to be shop fronts and stuff as well. Very classy, well designed pages, affordable (compared to having it designed for you over here) and really easy back-end for updating and customising. our site (www.sheerimage.com.au) was based on a design purchased from them and we love it. They only catch is that it takes a couple of months for them to get your site setup.... if you can wait and are happy to trust everyone who says it's worth the wait, then check them out!

That's an awful lot of images to load in one page. Glad I'm not on dial up these days!

Impressive portfolio there - especially album cover work, TVCs and vids.
