OK STOP......... DON'T BUY ANYMORE INSTRUMENTS OR PAY FOR LESSONS ANYMORE. Just get an iPhone and sell all your gear.
I think it's time to get that boat.

Soon there will be an app for making out without a partner or is there one already on iPhone.

actually as a portable musical note-taker this (and other apps for the ipod / iphone) looks pretty neat. Particularly when drum programming I find myself 'singing' parts to audition ideas and if there was a way to get a midi arrangement out of this type of program it could be great for sketching arrangements on the fly.

App sounds horrible though...

I cant stress how awesome controlling and performing and recording would be if we could use the voice.....control like that is offered on the Kuma workstation....it rocks. Im surprised the attack and pitch accuracy is fairly good, and immediate!

good job machine labs.

Singing drums is a bit wierd. Boom - cha - boom boom - cha. Singing instrument lines is cool. I sing them into my non iphone then just bluetooth them into my computer and use the pitch to midi part of vari audio on Cubase. I must admit though the old iphone is becoming a very handy tool for composers. I really don't want to get one but they are making it harder to stay away. As soon as that 'making out with your partner' app is available I'm there.

Might be time to dump Protools and get me one of these.

Looks pretty cool actually. Great for songwriting ideas. I wonder how far this technology could go if used in conjunction with a DAW. I might buy the plugin version if it gets released.

Cheers

Kyma X workstations already have implemented voice control, for midi start and stop, and also pitch to midi (as well as pitch bend), and also specific pitch to midi pitch control...ie. Sing an E, and X event start. Symbolic sound also have implemented Wii remote control....which is also awesome.

i am saving up for a Kyma X Pacarana solution....now....
