I posted this over at groupDIY as well but ... I built a JANdelier!! (thanks Ruairi).....

I always liked valve audio and now I see we can have valve lighting. Well done.

my parents had these 60/70's anodised red aluminium torpedo saladbowl lights that were... well not sure what else to say. they were anodisied red aluminium torpedo saladbowl flourescent lights.

wish I had them now... well not now, I mean in the studio at home in australia now. Not drunk in a stupid upstate new york hotel room now. That would be weird and counterproductive... I think. No I don't... I dont think that is.

The only way that could be better would be to have a "dim" setting that actually used the heaters.
