They look like lil' blondies. But... the capsule looks plastic.

$99 divided by 7 = $14 each.

It's just about worth it for the mic clips to use on my Blondies!

These were written about in the latest Sound on Sound. They thought they were pretty good with a lick of EQ.

Ha yeah exactly. I'm using some akg clips that sort of grip onto the blondies with full might. I've also used some small shock mounts I have. Still I should buy some small clips so I don't need to keep swapping things around.

My blondies benefit from a dip at 500hz. They can be a wee bit honky for my tastes.
I can't imagine what these sound like but it's almost worth paying the $100 to hear.

I'm doing the same with AKG clips- I've been intending to buy some of the Hercules spring loaded ones, but never got around to it. I think they are around $14 each, so not that much cheaper to buy 4 than to get a set of Karma mics!

I bought a couple of the original Karma micro mics, they sound very natural as long as the source isn't loud. They distort bloody awfully on loud sources.

Apparently the Karma II can handle high volumes much better. I may buy a set to play with at some stage.

Yep, that's what they told me in reply to my email. I've ordered a set, but they are out of stock and on back order. I'll let you know what I think once they get here. I figure you can't go to far wrong with mics at Au$20.00 each including freight from the US and they include clips and a neat aluminium case, but we shall see.

I received the Karma Silver Bullets yesterday. I haven't had a chance to give them a real test but just breifly I tried one on acoustic guitar and it sound pretty good, especially for a set of 7 mics with clips in a nice little aluminium case, delivered in Oz for AU$140.00. :)

Re the comment on distorting on loud sources. I understand from Karma that they have reduced the sensitivity in the newer batch to vercome this issue.

Also, they are in what looks to be, a stainless steel shell, not plastic.

More later when I get the chance to mic up a kit with them.
