Re: The Recording Architecture Book
Indeed Merry Xmas to Rick and all.
Had a very pleasant drive to KV yesterday which resulted in an enjoyable coffee with Ben, plus some lovely bushwalks in the area. We saw some amazing waterfalls, and the wife spotted several crimson rosellas. As a result she is very contented, and I got a much needed stress break from Sydney life. Frankly, what more could you ask for at this time of year?
To more salient news, I can confirm I now have all 4 remaining copies of RA, available to be picked up in Burwood by Owen and Peter/Tunetown as previously arranged.

Re: The Recording Architecture Book
Picture the scene:
It was a dark and stormy evening, rain soaking the ground. I pulled into the underground carpark where the contact had said we'd meet. I didn't know what he looked like or where he'd come from, all I knew was he had the fix I needed. I waited patiently by the car, playing with my keys to pass the awkward silence that had descended on the carpark. Thunder rang out from the tunnel leading out into the night.
The shout came: "Owen". I turned suddenly and there was a man I'd never seen before, but he had that all too familiar stare. The glint in his eye calmed my nerves as he came out from behind a pillar holding a box wrapped in a towel. He unwrapped the towel, and just before handing it to me said "now this, is gear porn". Opening the box to view its contents confirmed the objects inside were indeed what had been pre-arranged: Three copies of The Recording Architecture Book.
Satisfied, we made small talk about gear we owned, before wishing each other well and vanishing back to our corners of the dimly lit carpark. Upon the ascent into the night air, the sound of rain on the windscreen gave the comforting feeling that not only had the switch been made, but all was well in the world.
(Thanks Manning for grabbing the books for us and thanks to Ben for organising it!)

Re: The Recording Architecture Book
It was wet, I was tired. I waited for the man who was coming. He was late. I was nervous. He took what he wanted from me and left me in the darkness. I feel so dirty.
----
Good to meet you too, Owen
Also good to meet Peter/Tunetown earlier in the day. My distribution work is now complete.
(PS, the towel was for keeping the box dry in the rain!)

I finally opened it and didn't realise how bloody big it is! This site blows me away how cool it is. One day your dreaming about buying a book and the next day you have it.
