We have a working perfectly, nothing needed to be done except plug it in and use it Rola 77 for sale.
This one was modded by Rob Squire (of course).
Some of the parts are date stamped. 6 May 1963 Rola, 18 April 1963 Rola. 15/03/67 is on the main transformer and texta signature, and id guess the "Birth-date" of this unit.
What more can i say. I love these (i dont need another one, i have a 66 & 77 in the studio and a 66 at home...)
Please help me here, i want this one, but the home financial controller will kill me.
$1200.00.
Feel free to call me on my mobile, or call the shop no. 03 7702 3244 / 0412 354 254. Damien.

If I had any cash to offer I would in a heart beat. most harmonically rich preamp I have ever heard.
Sounds unbelievable on bass.

+1
Great mic pre's/Di's - I have a matched pair, and they stand up to, and often beat the best valve pre's money can buy.
Killer guitar and bass amps, insane for synths - the bottom end is huge and open, and the top end is rich and clear.
Even recording guitar tracks micing the small 3inch Rola speaker - which is astonishingly fat sounding for a little speaker. (and reamping snares etc)
100% agree Simon - harmonically rich.
I also use my pair as my passive mix bus stereo L+R make up gain faders - here they always beat everything that they are put up against.
(man holds wallet closed firmly..)

Re: Rola (Byer) 77
Is it fully functional as a tape machine, or just the amp stages?
Cheers,

it's a mic pre & di only. it no longer has the tape section or functionality.
for sale only. not trade.
