Hi guys,

I'm building a couple more little boxes for stuff I'm doing, and I was wondering if anyone could recognise these little Motorola's and tell me all about them. I can't really dig up anything on them.

(sorry about the picture quality - I only had my phone handy).

Pizzeo tweeters....hard to blow but when they do, throw em out. Definitley not hi fi. So they are mostly used for hi freq spit in cheaper lower powered pa boxes and some cheap music speakers.

I'm making a drum fill for a PA... and some FB wedges... so I'm not really needing HI-FI.

Piezzo... so no impedence right...

any suggestions for wiring them up with a 12" Etone 247 (for the foldback)?

Just parallel them, no crossover needed. All my wedges have piezos, they're cheap and pretty indestructible.

I think a 12 and tweeter will be somewhat underwhelming as drum fill though, I run a 15 and horn and want to upgrade to a double 15 box.

Hehe, oops.

I run two 12 and two 15 and (Piezo) horn wedges. You may need to use two tweeters per box, I don't think those bullet style ones are as loud as the horn loaded ones.

well, the plan was to run two of them with a 12" and see how it sounds. If I get by, I'll make some more, may run 2x12" and 2xtweeter... I'll see.

Yeah that's what I meant, I have 2 boxes, each with one 12 ;) (and three more, each with one 15)

Be interested to know how you go with these, I've thought about doing something similar as the wedges could be smaller with a lower profile.

I have run a PA that uses one 12 lorantz driver and 2 piezzo's for the 3 wedges and they sound ok but are easily overpowered by a loud band. I always have 2 powerfull sidefill boxes for the louder bands ( stage left and right). So they will be fine for the quietr stuff.
