yes Ben, and it always hurts me letting go of any Neumann, so I can only console myself that it is a sacrifice for other gear.
I now see myself heading towards more sweetening and mixing at home, than capturing live. I still dearly want to capture live music, but I had got a little carried away with mics. Could have done a full tv big band at one stage, and with options!
The KMR 81's I thought could be a good option for reaching out to grab acoustic gtrs on stage. But I have a few other choices there still, and another tubetech has my name on it!
