In need of a 8 or 10ru floatation rack or passingly two 4ru or two 6ru floatation racks. Anybody got something good?

I've got a pretty good contact if you need something made.

or if you want to pay proper money… id consider parting with one of my 9RU steel floaters
all steel construction (so no heavy ply)
makes them way lighter and way stronger.
they are very shallow though. which may or may not suit you (great for putting in cabs and flying with)

i don't use the large ones anymore really since i got all the 4RU ones made.
so drop me a line

Hi Gareth, making me think… I need this kit to fly and it will be a combination of DAW hardware and mic pres in the cases, would smaller 4ru cases be better for this?

from experience…
i only fly/ carry on my own/ put in the boots of taxis - 4RU cases

i can pretty easily travel with 2x 4RU and a backpack or suitcase
but an 8RU…doesn't fit in the boot
is a bit too big for the backseat
doesn't fit on the luggage belt (if you are travelling overseas thats a big deal, most countries dont do oversize baggage belts like australia does) etc etc etc
i only use 4RU cases for all my travelling stuff (have like 12 of them)
i also find i can keep things prepped that way, and take just the combo of cases i want (1 of this, 2 of that etc etc) rather than reloading cases for every gig.

I would add to this - we have a mobile rig that goes out on location for projects. It's 10ru, it needs 2 people to haul it safely and it's awkward.

2 x 4ru would be much smarter.

Right then, I am now on the look out for 2x 4ru floatation cases. Anybody got any up for grabs?
